My father calls me today and asks where he can buy a copy of Microsoft Office 2007. I tell him, why are you buying the most recent version of a product, you are wasting your money. Unless there is some specific feature that the 2007 version has there is every reason you should buy the older version.
There are alot of places where you can buy older products. Retailers are more than happy to sell you their warehouses of old software that is completely legit. Only problem with buying older software is that the company may not support them anymore, but most will give you a great deal to upgrade.
