Here’s my worst case scenario if the United States invaded Iran:

1. The price of a barrel of oil will immiately go to $120/barrel
2. The price of gasoline goes to $5.50/gallon overnight and then inches toward $6.00/gallon
3. Massive layoffs in nearly all industries, unemployment goes to 8% in a month, 12% in 2 months
4. Although, militarily the United States would beat the Iranians, the Russian AA systems they installed near their Nuclear Reactors would actually shoot down some of our helicopters/planes.
5. Public support inside Iran shifts to support the existing dictatorship…no public support for regime change
6. Leaders inside Iran go underground and deceminate ‘al-Quada’ like broadcasts that are picked up by Algazera and other media outlets promoting riots
7. The proported 30,000 Hezbolla troops inside the United States activate, killing tens of thousands Americans - schools are ‘captured’, malls are assaulted, power plants and refineries are attacked.
8. Suicide bombing becomes the norm.
9. The Sedition Act is passed in congress - speaking ill of the country puts you in jail or maybe even death
10. Martial Law is announced by the emergency War Powers Act.
11. The Draft is issued.
12. Halaburton is paid to make internment camps for all Muslims
13. All Masques are closed and guarded by national guardsmen
14. The military is placed on the border with Mexico
15. Military ships are placed all along the waters with orders to sink anyone who doesn’t stop when ordered to immidately.
16. The EU attempts to embargo the United States and its allies Britain, Austrailia and Japan.
17. The U.S. dollar drops in price significantly.
18. China initially tries to keep the Yuan below the U.S. dollar, but can’t because it would cause too much inflation in their country, so the prices of all goods inside the United States rise, overnight, by 30%
19. A world-wide recession hits
20. Assuming the Democrats didn’t actually vote for the war, they will immidately try to impeach the President.

All-in-all I think its not as bad as you think Personally I wouldn’t mind all this happening because I’m bored and don’t mind being drafted.
