Happy Cinco De Mayo!!! (aka Happy Immigration Awareness Day)

April 30th, 2007 by Mr. Juice

Soon, will be Cinco De Mayo. Will the people who protested last year stay home from work? I know I was affected last year when I couldn’t go to my favorite McDonalds near my house - it was closed.

Anyhow, what will this ‘Happy Immigration Awareness Day’ hope to accomplish?

EDIT: Changed ‘Tomorrow’ to ‘Soon’ … gee wiz I should know that ‘Cinco’ means 5 not 1!

Big Pharmaceutical need to make money to make new drugs

April 30th, 2007 by Mr. Juice

I would rather a Big Pharmaceutical spend alot of money making a new drug that saves lives and then sell it to us at a high price to recoop their investment - then 7 years later that drug can be sold by anyone (a generic).

Yes I know, during those first 7 years people will die who can’t afford the drug, but the alternative is that NO drug made because the Big Pharamaceutical company couldn’t earn enough money to pay for the research for that drug and new drugs in the future.

The alternative is that the government does all drug research…but we know how well the government runs the DMV and Medicare - how do you think that would go?

Remember, Big Pharmaceutical companies get sued all the time, even if their drug saves hundreds or thousands of lives in the process (Vioxx anyone), if its found out years later there is some harmful effect - Asprin can cause people problems, but you don’t see it being pulled from the shelves.

A friend of mine used to take PhenPhen and it worked great…but news came out that it increased heart failures, but he still wanted to take it - providing he signed a released, but they wouldn’t let him.

I think knowledge is power and making a choice with all available information at the time is vital.

    About

April 29th, 2007 by Mr. Juice

    StupidJuice.Net was founded in
    a
    moment of brillance
founded in a moment of brillance when two bussiness partners were logged into enom.com, a domain reseller and one of the partners, trying to be helpful, was walking the other partner through the domain purchase process. Having typed in stupidjuice.net in order to duplicate what the other partner was seeing for pages, the other partner checked out in the cart. Low and behold we ended up with two domains instead of one. Unable to return StupidJuice.net we decided to use it for testing different pages, web sites and so forth.

After four months of being dormant we decided to dust off StupidJuice.net and let it shine. We hope you like our web log, born out of a momentary stupidity on our parts here to bring you the juice on everything your every wanted to know but thought you would sound stupid to ask.
